Having Furnace or Heating Problems?

Check These Items

  • Is your thermostat set to heat? Is your thermostat turned higher than the room temperature? Turning your thermostat up two degrees should cause your heating system to turn on. Remember keeping your thermostat set between 68-70 will save energy.

  • Have you changed your filter recently? Check it even if it seems like you just changed it. A dirty filter can damage your heating system, as well as increase your fuel usage.

  • Make sure all return vents are uncovered. If your vents are blocked the furnace cannot breathe and this can damage your heating system, as well as increase your fuel usage.

  • If you have a digital/programable thermostat check the batteries. Most digital thermostats require batteries to operate.
